Nearly 100 kids took part in the Kellen Clemens Fundamentals and Football Camp held Monday, July 7, at Corbett Memorial Field in Burns.
Clemens, a Burns High School (BHS) graduate and now quarterback for the New York Jets, told the attendees, “It’s a fundamentals and football camp, not a football and fundamentals camp. The fundamentals will not only help in football, but they’ll also help in other sports, as well as in the classroom.”
Each of the attendees received a Nike football and an autographed Clemens rookie trading card.
Assisting Clemens were his former BHS teammates Kelby Kilgore, Tanner Marshall and Donald Doverspike, as well as current BHS students Ethan Bentz, Sam Fitzpatrick, Zach Dobson and Garrett Bentz.
All proceeds from the camp will go to benefit BHS athletics.
