A Community Social to discuss options available for the community’s unemployed, underemployed and laid off workforce will be held on Thursday, May 6, from noon to 4 p.m at the Harney County Senior Center. All community members are invited to attend. A panel of workforce specialists will be available to provide information about programs for laid off workers and anyone else who wants to skill up, but isn’t quite certain what resources are available to them to pursue a career path. The public is encouraged to attend to find out more about these opportunities. Lunch and a chance to win prizes will be available.
A Merchants Meeting will be held on May 6 at 8 a.m. at the Harney County Community Center.
Dr. Tom Fitzpatrick and the Mobile Health Clinic will be visiting Drewsey and Crane on Thursday, May 6. They will be located in the Drewsey Community Hall from 9 a.m. to noon and the Crane Modular Annex from 1 to 4 p.m.
Burns Butte Sportsmen’s Club meets the first Thursday of each month at the State Office Building, 809 West Jackson, at 7 p.m.
Tai Chi is held every Thursday at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. All ages are welcome to participate.
