The Steens Back Country Horsemen will be holding their spring meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Harney County Public Library. Agenda items will include election of officers, payment of 2011 membership dues, discussion of summer rides and upcoming projects. Potential volunteer projects for 2011 include working on local trail improvements and signage, enhancing various trail head facilities, improving visitor information about regional equine opportunities and exploring possibilities to increase local memberships and activities.
