Teen Late Night at Harney County Library will be held on March 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Stephanie Bodeen, 2011 Writer-in-Residence and author of several teen books including “The Gardener” and “The Compound,” will present a workshop on the writing process. Free and open to students in grades 6-12.

Reading Club meets at the Harney County Library each Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. Open to second- through fifth-grade students. For more information, call 541-573-6670.

Harney District Hospital will hold a free Childbirth Education class on Saturday, March 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the HDH Board Annex. Sunday, March 13

The Chamber Music Society will present the annual Spring Concert on  Sunday, March 13, at the Harney County Church of the Nazarene. The concert will feature local musicians performing in the choir, bell choir and concert orchestra. The performance will begin at 3 p.m. A shuttle service will be offered from Faith Baptist Church in the event there is snow on the ground and parking is difficult at the Church of the Nazarene. The concert is free of charge, but donations will be accepted.

Oregon Old Time Fiddlers, District 9, holds a potluck and jam session the second Sunday of each month at Harney County Senior Center, 17 South Alder, at 1 p.m. with music from 2 to 4 p.m. Call 541-573-2515.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Sunday at Foursquare Church for 12X12 study, at 7 p.m.

March’s Nutrition Tuesday at Harney District Hospital will be held on March 15 from noon to 1 p.m. in the HDH Board Room. The workshop, “Nutrition & Exercise: will teach how hydration and eating right will help you get the most from your workout. Dietary supplements and building muscle will also be discussed. The workshop is hosted by Amy Dobson, Harney District Hospital Dietary Supervisor. Rimrock Recycling board meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at 29903 Hotchkiss Lane.

Sylvia Rebekah Lodge meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at the I.O.O.F. Hall, 348 North Broadway, at 6:30 p.m.

The Chamber Orchestra meets the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Burns High School band room, 1100 Oregon Avenue, from 7-8:30 p.m. with Ken Peckham directing, September through November, and January through March.
