Harney County Court meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Harney County Courthouse, 450 North Buena Vista, at 10 a.m.

The Harney County Community Response Team (CRT) meets the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Community Center located at 484 N. Broadway. The CRT consists of anyone interested in what is going on in the county as it relates to business and industry. County, city and tribal leaders provide general information to the public regarding existing programs and recruitment efforts.

High Desert Park and Recreation District board of directors meets the first Wednesday of each month in their office at Lincoln Junior High School, 550 North Court, at 7 p.m.

Storytime at Harney County Library is held each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call 541-573-6670.

Bring babies to Lapsit Storytime at Harney County Library each Wednesday at 10 a.m. Enjoy music, stories, rhymes and fingerplays especially for babies and toddlers.

Burns Elks Lodge, 118 North Broadway, meets each Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns.

Oregon Department of Transportation will hold a public video conference meeting at the Harney County Courthouse basement room, 450 N. Buena Vista, at 6 p.m. Discussion during the conference will be held on proposed transportation projects for Oregon for 2012-2015.

Harney District Hospital will sponsor Dr. Tom Fitzpatrick and the Mobile Health Clinic  at the Drewsey Community Hall from 9 a.m. to noon and the Crane School Modular Annex from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 2. This is a full-service health clinic that comes to you. Appointments are encouraged to ensure adequate time, supplies and equipment for your appointment, but walk-ins are always welcome. Call Harney District Hospital Outpatient Scheduling at 541-573-8605 to schedule an appointment, and bring your insurance information to assure proper billing.

Burns Butte Sportsmen’s Club meets the first Thursday of each month at the State Office Building, 809 West Jackson, at 7 p.m.

Kiwanis Club of Burns-Hines meets for a no-host luncheon each Thursday at Glory Days Pizza, 690 Oregon Avenue, at noon.

Tai Chi for Better Balance with Diane Rapaport is held each Thursday at Harney County Senior and Community Services,  from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  — free.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets each Thursday at Hines City Hall, 101 East Barnes, at noon. Call 541-573-2896.

The third annual Ag, Auto, Home and Garden Show will be held at the Harney County Fairgrounds on June 3 and June 4.

Burns High School graduation will be held on June 3 at 7 p.m.

Community PRIDE meets on the first Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Pine Room. Everyone who has concerns for the betterment of the community of Harney County is invited.

The Burns Lions Club meets the first and third Monday of each month at noon at Figaro’s Pizza for lunch. Those interested in serving the community are welcome.

Masonic Lodge meets the first Monday of each month at the Burns Masonic Lodge, 1210 West Taylor, at 7 p.m.

Communities PRIDE meets every Monday morning from 8  to 9 a.m. at the Pine Room banquet room. Those interested in the communities of Harney County are welcome to attend and participate in this forum for community involvement for community benefit.
