A tent revival will be held at the First Pentecostal Church, 888 W. Tyler in Burns, June 22 through June 26. On Wednesday through Friday the revival will begin at 7 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday it will begin at 6 p.m. A cook-out will be held each day, three hours before the meeting.

Harney County Health District board of directors meets the fourth Wednesday of each month in the board conference room of the hospital, in the entrance off North Grand, at 6 p.m.

Burns City Council meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at Burns City Hall, 242 South Broadway, at 6 p.m.

The Harney County Library Summer Reading Program will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wear clothes that can get wet and join us for bubbles,  balloons and A Frog in the Bog. For more information, call 541-573-6670.

Dr. Don Lyons will present a program on the conservation and management of fish-eating birds of the Pacific Northwest at Harney County Library at 6:30 p.m. on June 23. Dr. Lyons will discuss his work with pelicans, terns, cormorants and gulls. Free and open to the public.

Disabled Services Advisory Council (DSAC) meets every fourth Thursday at the State Office Building small conference room, 809 West Jackson, at 1:30 p.m.

Harney County Soil and Water Conservation District board of directors meets the fourth Thursday of each month at the Rory and Ryan Best Western in Hines from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Kiwanis Club of Burns-Hines meets for a no-host luncheon each Thursday at Glory Days Pizza, 690 Oregon Avenue, at noon.

Tai Chi for Better Balance with Diane Rapaport is held each Thursday at Harney County Senior and Community Services,  from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  — free.

Harney County Library will present “Travelin’ Tales” with award-winning storyteller, Chris Leebrick. The community is welcome to the free program at 7 p.m., for entertaining stories from around the world for all ages.

The Harney County Health Department will be available at the Harney County Senior Center, 17 South Alder, to check blood pressure the fourth Monday of each month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There is no charge for the clinic and results can be forwarded to a physician or nurse practitioner at your request.

Harney County Search and Rescue meets the fourth Monday of each month at the Search and Rescue Building at 7 p.m.

Communities PRIDE meets every Monday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pine Room banquet room. Those interested in the communities of Harney County are welcome to attend and participate in this forum for community involvement for community benefit.
