A Community Fourth of July parade and free hot dog feed will be held for the first time in the Burns/Hines community. The event will be presented by the Desert Riders. Everyone is invited to decorate cars, trucks, motorcycles, trikes, horses, etc., for an old-fashioned Fourth of July parade. The annual Fourth of July fireworks display will be held the evening of the Fourth of July.
The Harney County Library will be closed on July 4.
Community PRIDE meets on the first Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Pine Room. Everyone who has concerns for the betterment of the community of Harney County is invited.
The Burns Lions Club meets the first and third Monday of each month at noon at Figaro’s Pizza for lunch. Those interested in serving the community are welcome.
Masonic Lodge meets the first Monday of each month at the Burns Masonic Lodge, 1210 West Taylor, at 7 p.m.
