The fifth annual Downtown Chili Cookoff will be held on Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Washington St. and N. Broadway. Chili will be available for sampling from noon to 2 p.m. For more information, call 541-573-6107.
The Burns Paiute Reservation Day Powwow will be held on Oct. 15, at the Harney County Fairgrounds Memorial Building. Grand entries will be held at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Burns Butte Sportsman’s Club will hold a Fall Harvest Merchandise Fun and Games Trap Shoot on Saturday, Oct. 15. Practice will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Shooting will start at 10 a.m. at the trap range on Radar Hill. All levels of shooters are welcome. Lunch will be available.
The Farmers Market is held each Saturday at Hines Park from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Narcotics Anonymous meets each Saturday at 7 p.m. at Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns.
