BHS Coach Toney named 3A Coach of the Year

The Burns Hilanders’ Maddye Dinsmore and head coach Paula Toney received top honors following their 3A state title, as they were named 3A Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.

Dinsmore was joined on the All-State first team by teammate Abbey Fenton. The Hilanders’ Charli Siegner received second team honors and Brittainy Houck was named to the third team.

The complete 3A All State Volleyball Teams are as follows:

Player of the Year:  Maddye Dinsmore, Sr. Burns
Coach of the Year:  Paula Toney, Burns

First Team: Maddye Dinsmore, Sr. Burns;  Abbey Fenton, Sr. Burns;  Sara Almen, Sr. Santiam Christian;  Chelsea Moser, Sr. Willamina;  Kiki Frunk, Sr. Corbett; Tori Kemper, Sr. Valley Catholic; Madison McLain, So. Santiam Christian

Second Team: Caitlin Anglemier, Jr. Blanchet Catholic; Emma  Busk, Jr. Corbett; Amy Delong, Sr. Vale; Hailey Casebier, Sr. Cascade Christian; Rebecca Baglai, Sr. Valley Catholic;  Brook Wilson, Jr., Willamina; Charli Siegner, Jr. Burns
