A chili feed and bake sale fund raiser will be held Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Department of Human Services Building, 809 W. Jackson in Burns. All proceeds will go to the local food bank as part of the Governor’s Food Drive.

The Harney County Weed Control Program will be holding a study session for those interested in obtaining their herbicide applicators license Wednesday, Feb. 29, in the break room of the Harney County Courthouse beginning at 6 p.m. Call 541-573-8385 to register.

Harney District Hospital is sponsoring Dr. Tom Fitzpatrick and the Mobile Health Clinic in Drewsey Thursday, March 1, at the Drewsey Community Hall from 9 a.m. to noon and in Crane at the Crane School Modular Annex from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments are encouraged to ensure adequate time, supplies and equipment for your appointment, but walk-ins are welcome. A work session will be held Thursday, March 1, at the Harney County Library, 80 W. “D” St., beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you have a Kindle, Nook, Ipod or some other e-reader and would like to learn how to use it, this is a session you won’t want to miss. You can also check out e-books for free from the library.

Harney County Library’s Million Page Challenge ends Thursday, March 1, at 6 p.m. All pages must be turned in before the library closes to be counted. Top readers will be announced March 6.

Harney District Hospital will hold a free Physical Therapy Sports Injury Clinic Monday evening, March 5. Students experiencing muscle or joint pain due to sports activities will be seen by a physical therapist to assess injuries and offer recommendations for treatment. To take advantage of this free clinic, call the physical therapy office at 541-573-1543 to schedule a time to be seen.

Masonic Lodge meets the first Monday of each month at the Burns Masonic Lodge, 1210 W. Taylor, at 7 p.m.
