Kate Marsh will read from her newly published chapbook, “Appaloosa Flanks and Other Poems”  Thursday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Book Parlor, 433 N. Broadway in Burns.

Kiwanis Club of Burns-Hines meets for a no-host luncheon each Thursday at Glory Days Pizza, 690 Oregon Avenue, at noon.
