Lowell White died Nov. 17.

He was born in Auburn, Calif., on April 4, 1932, to Frank Adolphus and Eva Pearl (Maxwell) White.

Lowell served in the Navy on the USS Iowa during the Korean War. He lived in Nevada for a number of years where he worked in logging as well as the casinos. He moved to Burns in 1997 and retired shortly after.

He loved spending time in the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also had a great love for his dogs.

Lowell is survived by his brother, Don White of Redding, Calif., and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers and a son.
