A DHS Child Care Provider Orientation class will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CCRR office, 503 S. Diamond in Burns. The hours attended at this class will count for Oregon Registry, but not for renewal of license. Those not licensed will be paid $12 per hour to attend the class. A Harney County CattleWomen luncheon will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the home of Mary Ann Wilber, 278 West F St. in Burns. All members and prospective members are welcome to attend.

Steens Back Country Horsemen will meet Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 5 p.m. at the Harney County Library. Members will discuss the coming year’s trail projects and summer rides. Harney County Court meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Harney County Courthouse, 450 N. Buena Vista, at 10 a.m.

The Hilander Booster Club meets the third Wednesday of each month at noon at Glory Days Pizza.

Harney Grant Babe Ruth board meets the third Wednesday of each month in the courthouse basement meeting room, 450 N. Buena Vista, at 7 p.m.

Free CardioKick classes, hosted by Women’s Ministry at Faith Baptist Church, will be held every Wednesday in January from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the community fellowship room at the church, 777 N. Bring babies to Lapsit Storytime at Harney County Library, 80 W. “D” St., each Wednesday at 10 a.m. Enjoy music, stories, rhymes and fingerplays especially for babies and toddlers.

A Women’s AA meeting is held every Wednesday at noon at Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns.

Burns Elks Lodge, 118 N. Broadway, meets each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns.
