“Soils & Fertilizers” with Matt Madsen, a Harney County Master Gardener course, will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, and will include instruction on definition and components, soil structure, mineral components, soil / water / air relationship and plant mineral needs and fertilizers. “East Smart, Spend Less,” the final session of the “Eat Smart, Live Strong” workshop series sponsored by Harney District Hospital and the Harney County Senior & Community Services Center, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the senior center.
