Grant and Gaye Gunderson will give a presentation of their trip to Africa at the Harney County Senior & Community Services Center Wednesday, March 6, at 1 p.m.

Harney County Court meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Harney County Courthouse, 450 North Buena Vista, at 10 a.m.

The Harney County Community Response Team (CRT) meets the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Center, 484 N. Broadway. The CRT consists of anyone interested in what is going on in the county as it relates to business and industry. County, city and tribal leaders provide general information to the public regarding existing programs and recruitment efforts.

High Desert Park and Recreation District board of directors meets the first Wednesday of each month in their office at Lincoln Junior High School, 550 N. Court, at 7 p.m.

Due to popular demand, the Faith Baptist Church will continue the Free CardioKick classes through March 13. Hosted by Women’s Ministry at the church, the classes will be held every Wednesday through March 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the community fellowship room at the church, 777 N. “Composting & Container Gardening” with Susan Lowe, a Harney County Master Gardener course, will be held Thursday, March 7, and will include instruction on benefits of composting, the nitrogen cycle, various methods of composting, benefits of container gardens and needs of containerized plants. Mountain Sage Medical Clinic and Dr. Tom Fitzpatrick are sponsoring the Mobile Health Clinic in Drewsey Thursday, March 7, at the Drewsey Community Hall from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and in Crane at the Crane School Modular Annex from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is a full-service health clinic which comes to you. Appointments are encouraged to ensure adequate time, supplies and equipment for your appointment, but walk-ins are always welcome. A Walking Class is held each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. indoors at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center.

Teen Late Night will be held Friday, March 8, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Harney County Library. There will be music, crafts, snacks and more. Teen Night is free and open to youths in grades 6-12.

The 6th annual “Night on the Town” Harney County rural school fundraiser will be held Friday, March 8, at the Burns Elks Lodge with a no-host social at 5:30 p.m. and a tri-tip dinner to follow. The evening will feature dinner, silent and live auctions and live music. Tickets will be available at the door.

The Odd Couple, a play by Neil Simon, produced locally by eFrog Productions and directed by Carolyn Ruzicka, will be presented Saturday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Auditorium, 550 N. Court Ave. in Burns. Entrance is free, but donations will be accepted. Profits will be used to upgrade the Lincoln Theater.

Re-Style, fashion accessorizing with Harriet Langmas, will be presented by P.E.O. Saturday, March 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the Harney County Church of the Nazarene, 311 Roe Davis Avenue. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. Refreshments will be provided. Proceeds will benefit P.E.O. women’s scholarships.

The Harney County Radio Association meets every second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. in the basement meeting room of the Harney County Courthouse. All amateur radio operators and interested parties are welcome.

Boy Scouts meet each Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the LDS Church in Hines. All boys age 11 and above are welcome to participate.
