The annual 4-H Fundraising Dinner will be held Saturday, March 16, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Burns Elks Lodge. Dinner will be chicken-fried steak, and activities include a silent auction, cakewalk, bingo and fish pond. All money raised will be used for camp scholarships, 4-H awards and the 4-H program.
A birthday celebration will be hosted by American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63 Saturday, March 16, at noon, with a potluck dinner at the Harney County Senior & Community Services Center. All veterans, National Guard members, friends and families are invited.
The 5th annual Sip for The Cure will be held Saturday, March 16, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Harney County Community Center with a tea menu including assorted appetizers, tea sandwiches, desserts, tea, punch and scones with fresh lemon curd. “Home Orchards & Pruning” with David Cowan, a Harney County Master Gardener course, will be held Saturday, March 16, and will include instruction on types and varieties for home gardens, maintenance, fertilizers, pruning, tools and their uses, types of pruning cuts and hands-on activity.
