Pam L. Corrigan Landon died April 14 in Salmon, Idaho.
Pam was born August 18, 1950 in Salmon, Idaho. She was the second of five children born to John and Betty Corrigan of Challis, Idaho. Pam grew up on a ranch in Challis where she loved branding, cattle drives and especially riding horses. She had an intense love for all animals.
Pam graduated from Challis High School in 1968. After high school, Pam enrolled in the School of Cosmetology in Pocatello, Idaho where she received her beautician license. In 1970, she met and married Richard Lockyer of McCammon, Idaho. To this union one child was born in 1971, ShanDel Raey Lockyer. They divorced after a short time.
Pam moved and made her home in the surrounding area of Nampa, Idaho. She decided to change her career path and attended ITT tech school where she graduated from their legal secretary program. She started working for the Idaho Department of Employment for several years. She decided to work in broadcasting. She took an executive position with Channel 12 until the summer of 1990 when adventure would call for Pam and her daughter to move to Alaska. They lived in Eagle River for a couple of years, then moved to Kenai where Pam pursued her love of fishing, clamming and camping. Pam explored all that Alaska had to offer for the next seven years. Moving to Alaska was a big dream of hers. In 1997, Pam moved back to Nampa to be close to her only granddaughter, KayLee Jade. She went to work in broadcasting for Channel 9, working there for several years until she moved back home to Challis where she lived for the past three years.
To say that Pam had many friends is an understatement. Pam was a very giving soul, she helped people where she could, and gave of herself to many. Time spent with Pam included fun, laughter and telling stories. She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for anyone that was around her.
Pam is survived by her daughter, ShanDel Raey Harden (Randy); and granddaughter, KayLee Jade, of Crane; parents, John and Betty Corrigan of Challis; sister, Pat (Ron) Bricker of Challis; sister, Betty Jo (Levi) Oja of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Tim (Zelda) Corrigan, of Challis Idaho; brother, John (Martha) Corrigan of Crane; and many other relatives.
“Your smile and laughter will always be remembered.”
