Victim found early Monday morning
A 25-year-old man was found deceased the morning of Monday, July 1, following an overnight, single-vehicle traffic crash south of Malheur Lake in rural Harney County.
According to Sergeant Brian Williams, on July 1, at approximately 7:49 a.m., a Bureau of Land Management employee drove upon the scene of a single-vehicle rollover traffic crash off Sodhouse Lane, about 12 miles east of Narrows and south of Malheur Lake. Oregon State Police and Harney County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and confirmed there was a lone adult male deceased after being ejected from the 1997 Ford Explorer. The victim was identified as David Guzman-Ramirez, 25, from Bend.
Williams indicated the crash occurred late Sunday night or early Monday morning. The vehicle was eastbound on a gravel portion of Sodhouse Lane negotiating a right curve when the operator lost control. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and rolled, coming to rest on its passenger side. Guzman-Ramirez was not using safety restraints and was ejected.
