American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive in the local area Sept. 18-20. The blood drive will be held at the Church of Latter-day Saints, 600 N. Saginaw in Hines Thursday, Sept. 19, noon to 5 p.m.; and Friday, Sept. 20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED-CROSS, or go to redcrossblood.org.
Harney County Merchants meet the third Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. at the community center.
Burns Planning Commission meets the third Thursday of each month at Burns City Hall, 242 S. Broadway, at 7 p.m.
Harney County Historical Society meets the third Thursday of each month at the Elks Lodge, 118 N. Broadway, at 11:45 a.m.
Artists/Painters meet each Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Harney County Senior Center. Take along projects of all media and work in a good atmosphere. Mary Lou will be there for projects if needed.
A Walking Class is held each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. indoors at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center.
Kiwanis Club of Burns-Hines meets for a no-host luncheon each Thursday at Bella Java, 314 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns, at noon.
