Betty Carolyn Stemm, 67, of Burns, passed away Sept. 21 in Bend, after a brief illness.
She was born in Klamath Falls Aug. 29, 1946, to the late Ralph L. Mundlin and Betty J. (Brazee) Mundlin. Carolyn graduated from Crater High School in Central Point in 1964.
Carolyn lived in Denver, Colo., before moving to Burns in 2006. She attended the Burns Christian Church, held a women’s study group in her home, and was involved in the Worship Team. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, traveling, and having visitors.
She is survived by two children, Wes B. Cowan and his wife, Hope Diana, of Beaverton, and Tylene N. (Ott) Baldovino of Medford; three grandchildren, Talissa Baldovino and Dion Baldovino of Medford, and Merlin Baumer of Beaverton; brother, Donald W. Mundlin, and his wife, Sheila, of Medford; sister, Dena McClung of Denver, Colo.; and brother, Brice Mundlin, and his wife, Lore, of Burns; and an uncle, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Her two special pets were Dudley and Mica.
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, Oct. 4.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolyn Stemm’s memory may be made to a chaplaincy fund, a cause dear to her heart. This will be administered through the Hines Volunteer Fire Department, and checks may be made out to: HVFD Firemens’ Assoc. for Chaplaincy Fund.
