The Burns Paiute Reservation Day Powwow, “Promoting Healthy Lifestyles,” will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, at Burns High School. Grand Entry will be held at noon Sunday. The public is welcome to attend, and there is no admission fee. The event will feature traditional drumming, dancing, arts, crafts and vendors.
A Ring Praise concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 417 W. Washiington in Burns.
Oregon Old Time Fiddlers, District 9, holds a potluck and jam session the second Sunday of each month at Harney County Senior Center, 17 S. Alder, October through May at 1 p.m. with music and dancing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
A Teeman Family Memorial will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Burns Paiute Gathering Center.
A free community dinner, eat in or take out, will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Episcopal/Lutheran Church at the corner of Diamond and A streets. Call 541-573-2802.
Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Sunday at Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns, for 12X12 study at 7 p.m.
