The Burns High School cheerleaders, and football, volleyball, and cross country teams were honored  Wednesday, Nov. 13.

 
Athletic Director Paula Toney kicked off the evening by welcoming the parents and athletes and introducing the head coaches.

 
Cross county head coach, Sara Winn, introduced her athletes and announced the winners of the special awards. Madelyn Gunderson was named as the Most Valuable Runner. The Most Improved award went to Sydnee Shelman. The Upcoming Freshman award was given to Brandon Bingham. Madison Winn was named Most Inspirational.

Football head coach, Terry Graham, introduced each football player by class. He then called the special award winners back to the stage. The Most Promising Underclassmen award went to Scott Davies and Jake Blackburn. Ty Reid was awarded the Outstanding Offensive Lineman award. The Oustanding Offensive Back award went to both Seth Nonnenmacher and Austin Feist. Jeff Davies received the Outstanding Offensive Receiver award. Austin Ryder was given the Oustanding Defensive Lineman award. The Oustanding Defensive Linebacker award went to Seth Nonnenmacher. Austin Feist was given the Oustanding Defensive Back award. The Most Improved Player award went to three Hilanders, Jack VanTassel, Trey Recanzone, and Thomas Cain. The final award was the Most Valuable Player award, given to Seth Nonnenmacher.

 

 

The Hilander volleyball team was introduced and recognized by coaches Paula and Courtney Toney. Catherine Clemens was given the Most Valuable Player award. The Most Improved Player award went to Mariah Ribeiro. The Most Inspirational Player award was given to Baylee Hanner.
