Brice Fortier was the only child of George and Phoebe (Welch) Fortier. He was born March 21, 1933, in Yakima, Wash., and graduated in 1952 from Burns Union High School in Burns.
Brice had a career as an auto body technician and restored a number of vehicles over the years. He enjoyed camping, fishing the ocean, crabbing, and traveling to Arizona in the winter months. He also had a passion for golf.
Brice is survived by his wife of 53 years, Billie (Roberts) Fortier of Keizer; son, Dallen Fortier of Gulfport, Miss; daughters, Teresa Smith, Debbie Williams, both of Salem, and Stacy Fortier of Canby. He also leaves behind five grandsons, Cory Williams, Michael and Derrick Sommers, Jimmy Cook and Logan Smith; and three granddaughters, Audrey Williams, Alicia Cook and Carrie Smith.
There will be a gathering in his honor at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at 951 Orchard St. N in Keizer for family and friends to share memories and photos.
