Harney District Hospital, Safe Kids USA and ImPACT are sponsoring a free Sports Concussions Workshop – Education for Coaches, Teachers and Parents — on Saturday, April 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the HDH Board Room. This is an informative presentation with Dr. Mark Belza, Neurosurgeon of The Center. ImPACT is used by the NFL, NCAA Football and a variety of other sports programs, and is a valuable tool in exploring concussions in athletes. Shelman Family Ranch Spring Special Horse Sale will be held on April 24. The day will begin with a Three Man Team Doctoring Contest at 8 a.m., followed by a matched bronc riding sponsored by Glen Shelley. A Dutch oven lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., with the horse sale starting at noon.  Immediately following the horse sale will be a Three Man Team Branding Contest.
