The Harney County Summer Reading Program will feature snakes, lizards and turtles from Hart’s Reptile World, a longtime established reptile rescue organization committed to the humane and ethical treatment of reptiles. The Harney County Community Response Team (CRT) meets the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Community Center located at 484 N. Broadway. The CRT consists of anyone interested in what is going on in the county as it relates to business and industry. County, city and tribal leaders provide general information to the public regarding existing programs and recruitment efforts.
High Desert Park and Recreation District board of directors meets the first Wednesday of each month in their office at Lincoln Junior High School, 550 North Court, at 7 p.m.
