Kick, Breathe, and Block for fun with Son Burns and Martial Arts America at Harney County Library summer reading program Wednesday, June 26. Starts at 10:30 am.
 
A DHS Child Care Provider Orientation class will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the CCR&R office, 503 S. Diamond in Burns. If not licensed, you will be paid $12 per hour to attend class. Hours count for Oregon Registry, but not for renewal of license. The class is free and open to the public. Harney County Health District board of directors meets the fourth Wednesday of each month in the board conference room of the hospital, in the entrance off N. Grand, at 6 p.m.
 
Burns City Council meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at Burns City Hall, 242 S. Broadway, at 6 p.m.
 
Burns Butte Sportmen’s Club hold their summer twilight practice sessions on Wednesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through the month of September.  There will be people there to help beginners. All levels of experience are welcome.
 
Bring babies to Lapsit Storytime at Harney County Library, 80 W. “D” St., each Wednesday at 10 a.m. Enjoy music, stories, rhymes and fingerplays especially for babies and toddlers.

ALANON, a support group for friends and families of alcoholics, meets each Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns. Please use the back door on the south side of the building. All interested are welcome.

Harney County Soil and Water Conservation District board of directors meets the fourth Thursday of each month at the USDA Service Center in Hines at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
 
Artists/Painters meet each Thursday at 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harney County Senior Center. Take along projects of all media and work in a good atmoshpere. Mary Lou will be there for projects if needed.
 
A Walking Class is held each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. indoors at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center.
 
Kiwanis Club of Burns-Hines meets for a no-host luncheon each Thursday at Bella Java, 314 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns, at noon.

The Harney Rodders Car Club invites veterans to ride along with them to a barbecue lunch in Hampton on Saturday, June 29. They will leave from Hines Park at 10 a.m. Anyone with a classic car or truck is invited to join in and give a veteran a ride. The Harney County Reined Stock Horse Futurity will be putting on a practice cutting at the Bell-A Ranch on Saturday June 29, starting at 8 a.m. and running until finished.
