Walk With Ease, a six-week program, meets from 5:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the BHS Library. Sessions include brief education, warm-up and stretching, walking, then cool down and stretching. Group suitable for those with arthritis or those who just want to make walking a part of their life. Harney County School District No. 3 will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Lincoln Building to discuss the ground lease to access a biomass boiler building and tunnels at Slater Elementary School.

Gallery 15, Harney County’s newest shop for fine art and gifts, will host another Featured Artists reception and unveil The Holiday Show on Friday, Nov. 20, from 5 until 7 p.m. The featured artists will be all members of the gallery, who are filling the rooms with new art for the holiday shopping season. Some of the artists will also participate in the after-Thanksgiving Black Friday sale. 76 East Washington Street in Burns.

The Harney County Health Department is available at the Harney County Senior Center, 17 S. Alder, to check blood pressure the third Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. There is no charge for the clinic, and results can be forwarded to a physician or nurse practitioner at your request.

A recovery group, “Celebrate Recovery,” meets each Friday at the Harney County Church of the Nazarene, 311 Roe Davis Ave. in Hines. Snacks served at 5:30 p.m. The main meeting is held at 6 p.m., and small group sessions are at 7 p.m. For more information, call 541-573-7100.

Living Well With Chronic Conditions: Monday, Nov. 23, 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Harney County Senior & Community Services Center. Harney County Library will be closed for Veterans Day

The city of Burns Public Safety Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Burns Fire Hall.

The Cancer Support Group will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Hines City Hall meeting room. The Cancer Support Group is open to all cancer patients, survivors, family and support persons.
