The Harney County Senior Center Christmaas bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 19. For more information, call 541-573-6024.

The Harney County Hospice Food and Wine Festival will be held on Nov. 19, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  at the Burns Elks Lodge. The evening will include fine wine, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, cider, silent auction, door prizes and music by Jazz Light. Tickets are available at Ruthie’s, A Parts, Gourmet & Gadgets and Broadway Deli. To donate a silent auction item, call 541-573-8360.

AARP will offer a free driver safety program for veterans in Burns on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Harney County Health Department, 420 N. Fairview. Veterans will need to preregister and bring some form of military identification to present to the instructor. Registration is on a first-call basis, with a limit of 12. Burns Butte Sportsmen’s Club will have a Thanksgiving Fun and Games Turkey Shoot on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the trap range on Radar Hill. Practice will begin at 9:30 a.m. Games will start at 10 a.m. This is for all levels of shooters. Lunch will be available.

Crane Fellowship will hold a community open house and Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, Nov. 20, on the corner of Crane Venator Lane and Main Street in Crane. The Harney County Health Department will be available at the Harney County Senior Center, 17 South Alder, to check blood pressure the fourth Monday of each month from 1-3 p.m. There is no charge for the clinic and results can be forwarded to a physician or nurse practitioner at your request.

Harney County Search and Rescue meets the fourth Monday of each month at the Search and Rescue Building at 7 p.m.

The Burns Lions Club meets every Monday at noon at the Burns Elks Lodge. Those interested in serving the community are welcome

Communities PRIDE meets every Monday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pine Room banquet room. Those interested in the communities of Harney County are welcome to attend and participate in this forum for community involvement for community benefit.

This group is for spouses, caregivers, family and loved ones of those with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. Learn and share about dementia, managing symptoms and providing care. The Harney County Farm Bureau will hold its annual business meeting on Thursdsay, Nov. 10, at the Burns Elks Lodge. There will be a no-host social starting at 6 p.m., with the meeting and no-host prime rib dinner to follow at 7 p.m. Several speakers are lined up for the evening, covering the topics of sage grouse, wolf issues and pest/rodent control. The Harney County Radio Association meets every second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. in the basement meeting room of the Harney County Courthouse. All amateur radio operators and interested parties are welcome.
