The Harney County Restoration Collaborative will be meeting at the Pine Room from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22. Folks interested in restoring the ecologic, economic and social health and resiliency of the southern Malheur National Forest are welcome to attend. Harney County Library presents “An Evening with Mark Twain” and pie social to be held at the Nazarene Church in Hines. Tickets are $5 per person, $15 per family. The Harney County Cultural Coalition will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.14, at the Harney County Library.  Board action items including public relations and use of media will be discussed. The public is welcome to attend.
 
Harney County Farm Bureau will be holding their monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the basement meeting room of the courthouse. Pizza and soda will be served.
 
The Cancer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Hines City Hall meeting room. The Cancer Support Group is open to all cancer patients, survivors, family and support persons. Come learn and share about all types of cancer, ways to manage symptoms, treat side effects and make connections to help you navigate cancer care.
