Harney County Library will present a live music show at 9 a.m. on July 9 featuring  Victor Johnson. Johnson plays music that the entire family can enjoy. His music has appeared on national television, NPR and Nick Jr. and Parenting magazines. He has three Parents’ Choice Awards and appears on Putumayo Kids’ CD Folk Playground.

The annual Harney County Ranch Rodeo will be held on July 10 at the Harney County Fairgrounds.Twenty-five teams — including nine from Harney County — will compete in six events. Food and western vendors will be on site. The public is invited to attend.

Aspen Arborglyph Trees Dedication Ceremony will be held on Steens Mountain at Fish Lake Campground at 2 p.m. July 10.

Harney District Hospital will hold a free Physical Therapy Sports Injury Clinic on Monday evenings throughout July. Students experiencing muscle or joint pain due to sports activities will be seen by a physical therapist who will assess injuries and offer recommendations for treatment. High Desert Medical Center’s Dr. Holland Haynie will also be available. To take advantage of this free clinic, call 541-573-1543 to schedule a time to be seen.

Burns Fire Dept. meets each Monday at the Burns Fire Hall at 7 p.m.

The Harney County Reined Stock Horse Futurity committee will hold  an open meeting to discuss the proposed changes to rules and regulations on July 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Glory Days Pizza. Changes to be discussed will include out-of-county participation; lifetime earnings limitations; class structures regarding hackamore, two-rein and bridle; NRCHA rules and local rules; and pay-up rules. Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is held every Thursday at the Harney County Senior Center. The beginner class is held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. The intermediate class is held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. All ages are welcome.

All 0 to 3-year-olds and their parents are welcome to attend play group at the Early Childhood Center at 655 W. Fillmore, weekly on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

A Patriotic Breakfast in the Park, hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be held on July 3, from 8 to 10 a.m., at the Hines Park. Bring lawn chairs, folding tables or blankets for your family to enjoy a french toast breakfast, and honor the country and community. Those wishing to contribute can bring fruit or muffins.

The 2010 Farmers Market will begin Saturday, July 3, at the Hines Park and will continue every Saturday until early October. The market hours are 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Applications are available at the Hines City Hall. All craft items for sale must be made in Harney County.

Diabetes Support Group meets at the Harney County Health Building, 420 North Fairview, the first Saturday of each month at 2 p.m.
