The Harney County Theatre Guild will present Barbara Robinson’s “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m., at the former Lincoln Jr. High building. The performance will feature local children and adults. Admission is free, with donations accepted.

The Harney County Cancer Support Group Christmas Bazaar will be held Dec. 9, at the Burns Armory. To reserve a space or volunteer, call Tonny Callaway at 541-573-7867.

The Harney County Christmas Jamboree will be held on Dec. 10. Activites begin at 8 a.m. with Breakfast with Santa at the Burns Elks Lodge. Events will also include kids activities, hay ride, bonfire, movie, parade and much more. For a full list of activites, contact the Harney County Chamber of Commerce at 541-573-2636.

The annual canned food matinee at the Desert Historical Theatre will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 10. Admission to the movie “Puss in Boots” will be two or more cans of food. All donations will go to the Burns Elks Club Christmas baskets.

Harney District Hospital and The Wadatika Health Center are sponsoring a free “Maintain Don’t Gain” workshop at the Paiute Reservation Gathering Center, on Tuesday, Dec. 13th, from noon to 1 p.m. Learn about energy boosters, recipe makeovers and information on finding balance during the busy holiday season. Harney County Library teen late night will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free and open to students in grades 6-12.

Car Seat Friday is held the first Friday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burns City Hall. Harney Safe Kids hosts the car seat fitting station. Parents and other caregivers are invited to drop by over the lunch hour to have their car seats checked for proper fit. Parents are encouraged to bring their children, so that a technician can ensure the best possible fit. Car seats and booster seats will be available for purchase also. The Homespun Craft Fair will be held at the Harney County Fairgrounds Memorial Building on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The Holy Family Catholic Church Bazaar will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 777 N. Saginaw, on Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be available.

The First Evenagelical Lutheran Church will hold a bazaar and bake sale on Dec. 3, from 9 a.m .to 3 p.m. In addition to crafts and baked goods, U.S.A. made RADA Cutlery will be sold. 349 S. Egan, turn at the stoplight by the Pine Room.
