Harney County Court meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Harney County Courthouse, 450 North Buena Vista, at 10 a.m.

The Harney County Community Response Team (CRT) meets the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Center, 484 N. Broadway. The CRT consists of anyone interested in what is going on in the county as it relates to business and industry. County, city and tribal leaders provide general information to the public regarding existing programs and recruitment efforts.

High Desert Park and Recreation District board of directors meets the first Wednesday of each month in their office at Lincoln Junior High School, 550 N. Court, at 7 p.m.

Gospel Meetings are held each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Hines City Hall.

Bring babies to Lapsit Storytime at Harney County Library, 80 W. “D” St., each Wednesday at 10 a.m. Enjoy music, stories, rhymes and fingerplays especially for babies and toddlers.

Harney District Hospital is sponsoring Dr. Tom Fitzpatrick and the Mobile Health Clinic in Drewsey, April 5, at the Drewsey Community Hall from 9 a.m. to noon and in Crane at the Crane School Modular Annex from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is a full-service health clinic which comes to you. Appointments are encouraged to ensure adequate time, supplies and equipment for your appointment, but walk-ins are always welcome. Burns Butte Sportsmen’s Club meets the first Thursday of each month at the State Office Building, 809 W. Jackson, at 7 p.m.

Spring is here and it’s time for spring cleaning at the Harney County Musuem to get it ready for visitors. The historical society is inviting anyone who would like to volunter to come Friday, April 6, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Good Friday, Friday, April 6, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. People of all faiths are welcome to use the Pioneer Presbyterian Church sanctuary for individual prayer and meditation. The church is at the corner of West Washington and North Diamond. Guided meditation materials will be available if desired.

The Zeta Sigma Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 7, at Hines City Park beginning at 10 a.m. for ages 0-8. The Easter Bunny will be there.

The 4th annual Autism Awareness Festival will be held Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Memorial Building at the fairgrounds.

A community clean-up day is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, beginning at 8 a.m. Volunteers are asked to gather at the Pine Room parking lot for the distribution of litter bags and route assignments.

Diabetes Support Group meets at the Harney County Health Building, 420 N. Fairview, the first Saturday of each month at 2 p.m.

Harney District Hospital will hold a free Physical Therapy Sports Injury Clinic Monday evenings, April 9. Students experiencing muscle or joint pain due to sports activities will be seen by a physical therapist to assess injuries and offer recommendations for treatment. To take advantage of this free clinic, call the physical therapy office at 541-573-1543 to schedule a time to be seen.

A Grief Support Group will be held the second and fourth Monday of each month by Harney County Hospice and Rev. Jean Hurst during the day as well as the evening. For more information, call Harney County Hospice, 541-573-8360.

Communities PRIDE meets every Monday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pine Room banquet room. Those interested in the communities of Harney County are welcome to attend and participate in this forum for community involvement for community benefit.
