Harney County Library will be closed for the 4th of July holiday. The library will be open July 5.

 
Burns Butte Sportsmen’s Club meets the first Thursday of each month at the State Office Building, 809 W. Jackson, at 7 p.m.

 
Artists/Painters meet each Thursday at 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Harney County Senior Center. Take along projects of all media and work in a good atmoshpere. Mary Lou will be there for projects if needed.

 
A Walking Class is held each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. indoors at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center.

 
Kiwanis Club of Burns-Hines meets for a no-host luncheon each Thursday at Bella Java, 314 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns, at noon.

 
Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets each Thursday at Hines City Hall, 101 E. Barnes, at noon. Call 541-573-2896.

 
Alcoholics Anonymous holds an open, big book and discussion meeting each Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Church of the Living Water.

Reading Club meets at the Harney County Library each Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. Open to 2nd- through 5th-grade students. For more information, call 541-573-6670.

 
A recovery group, “Celebrate Recovery,” meets each Friday at the Harney County Church of The Nazarene, 311 Roe Davis Ave. in Hines. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. The main meeting is held at 6 p.m., small group sessions are at 7 p.m. and “Cross Talk Cafe” begins at 8 p.m. For more information, call 541-573-7100.

Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hines City Park. The market will be held each Saturday into October or until the first hard frost ends the growing season.

 
The High Desert Cutters will be holding the fourth cutting of the year on July 6th at the Roaring Springs Ranch. Diabetes Support Group meets at the Harney County Health Building, 420 N. Fairview, the first Saturday of each month at 2 p.m.

 
Harney County Arts and Crafts Association meets the first Saturday of each month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the basement conference room of the Harney County Courthouse. Use the rear building entrance. Burns Christian Church, 125 S. Buena Vista, will begin their summer schedule of one Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 7. The summer schedule will run through Sept. 8.The public invited to attend.

 
Worshipping the Lord through Music, a musical program,  will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at the Church of Latter-day Saints in Hines.

 
Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Sunday at Foursquare Church, 74 S. Alvord, Burns, for 12X12 study at 7 p.m.

Harney District Hospital will hold a free Physical Therapy Sports Injury Clinic on Monday evening, June  24. Students experiencing muscle or joint pain due to sports activities will be seen by a physical therapist to assess injuries and offer recommendations for treatment. To take advantage of this free clinic, please call the Physical Therapy office at 541-573-1543 to schedule a time to be seen.
